Queensland Consolidated Acts Queensland Consolidated Acts(1) A person commits an offence if—
(a) in relation to a heavy vehicle, there is a contravention of a mass, dimension or loading requirement that is a severe risk breach of the requirement; and
(b) the person is a person in control of the heavy vehicle.
Maximum penalty—100 penalty units.
(2) In a proceeding for an offence against subsection (1), the person charged has the benefit of the reasonable steps defence for the offence.
