VICTIMS OF CRIME ASSISTANCE ACT 2009 - SECT 6

6 Purposes of declaring principles

The purposes of declaring the principles are to--

(a) advance the interests of victims by stating some fundamental principles of justice that prescribed persons are to observe in dealing with them; and
(b) inform victims of the principles they can expect will underlie the treatment of them by prescribed persons.
