Queensland Consolidated Acts(1) If the chief executive is satisfied the application should be approved, the chief executive must approve the application and defer, or further defer, the requirement under section 73(5) for a stated period (the deferral period) of not more than 2 years.
(2) More than 1 application may be made under subsection (1).
(3) If the chief executive is not satisfied an application should be approved, the chief executive must refuse the application.
(4) Within 10 business days after deciding the application, the chief executive must give the applicant an information notice.
(5) The deferral of the requirement under section 73(5) has effect from—
(a) for a further deferral approved before the end of a previous deferral period—the day after the previous deferral period ends; or
(b) otherwise—the day the chief executive gives the applicant the information notice about the decision.
