'(1) This section applies to the following statutes--

* University of Queensland Statute No. 5 (Awards) 1999

* University of Queensland Statute No. 6 (Fees) 1999

'(2) Despite the Statutory Instruments Act 1992, section 54, each statute--

(a) is taken not to have expired on 1 September 2009; and

(b) expires on 1 September 2010 unless it is repealed before that day.'.
