South Australian Consolidated Acts180—Control of the right to vote
(1) A person must not
directly or indirectly control the exercise of the right to vote of a member.
Maximum penalty: $6 000 or imprisonment for 6 months, or both.
(2) If a person
controls the exercise of the right to vote of a member at a meeting of a
co-operative—
(a) the
vote of that member; and
(b) the
vote of that person, if that person is a member,
are invalid.
(3) Nothing in this
section prevents the exercise of a vote by means of a proxy or power of
attorney.
