South Australian Consolidated Acts (1) The Minister must,
as soon as practicable after 1 January 2003, appoint an independent person to
carry out an investigation and review concerning—
(a) the
effectiveness of the Board (over the period of three years ending on
31 December 2002);
(b) the
attainment of the objects of this Act (over the period of three years ending
on 31 December 2002);
(c) the
need for this Act to continue in operation;
(d) any
other matters that appear to the Minister to be relevant.
(2) The person
appointed under subsection (1) must present to the Minister a report on
the outcome of the investigation and review within six months after his or her
appointment.
(3) The Minister must
within 12 sitting days after receipt of a report under this section, cause a
copy of the report to be laid before both Houses of Parliament.
