(1) This Division and
Schedule 2 operate in substitution for the provisions of Chapter 5 Part 4
Division 2 of the Local Government Act 1999 (insofar as they relate to
council members).
(2) A reference in
another Part of the Local Government Act 1999 to a return under Chapter
5 Part 4 Division 2 of that Act will be taken to include a reference to a
return under this Division and Schedule 2.
