CORPORAL PUNISHMENT ABOLITION ACT 1971 - SECT 2

2—Abolition of corporal punishment

Notwithstanding any provision in any Act or law, after the commencement of this Act, no judgment, order or sentence of a court for the whipping, solitary confinement or other corporal punishment of any person, or for the use of the pillory, shall be passed, pronounced, imposed, recorded or carried out.
