South Australian Consolidated Acts31—Offence to hinder etc dog management officers
(1) A person
who—
(a)
hinders or obstructs a dog management officer, or a person assisting a dog
management officer, in the exercise of powers conferred by this Act; or
(b) uses
abusive, threatening or insulting language to a dog management officer, or a
person assisting a dog management officer; or
(c)
refuses or fails to comply with a requirement of a dog management officer
under this Act; or
(d)
falsely represents, by words or conduct, that he or she is a dog management
officer,
is guilty of an offence.
Maximum penalty: $5 000.
(2) A person who
assaults a dog management officer, or a person assisting a dog management
officer, in the exercise of powers under this Act, is guilty of an offence.
Maximum penalty: $10 000 or imprisonment for 2 years.
