South Australian Consolidated Acts (1) The Minister may
prohibit (either absolutely or conditionally) any person—
(a)
engaging in any or specified activities involving a dangerous substance; or
(b)
using a dangerous substance for a particular purpose or in a particular
manner; or
(c)
having a dangerous substance in his or her custody, possession or control.
(2) A prohibition
under this section may be varied or revoked by the Minister at any time.
(3) A prohibition
under this section, and any variation or revocation, must be notified in the
Gazette (and takes effect when the notice is published in the Gazette or at
such later time as is specified in the notice).
(4) A person who
contravenes a prohibition imposed under this section is guilty of an offence.
Maximum penalty:
In the case of a body corporate—$50 000.
In any other case—$10 000 or imprisonment for six months, or both.
