South Australian Consolidated Acts (1) The Court may
punish a contempt as follows:
(a) it
may impose a fine; or
(b) it
may commit to prison for a specified term or until the contempt is purged.
(2) This section
applies both to contempts committed in the face of the Court and contempts
arising from non-compliance with an order, direction, summons or other process
of the Court.
(3) The powers
conferred by this section may only be exercised by a Judge or magistrate of
the Court.
