MENTAL HEALTH ACT 2009 - SECT 49

49—Neglect or ill-treatment

A person having the oversight, care or control of a patient who ill-treats or wilfully neglects the patient is guilty of an offence.

Maximum penalty: $25 000 or imprisonment for 2 years.
