REDUNDANT OFFICERS FUND ACT 1936 - SECT 3

3—Use of money by Association

The Association shall use the sum so paid to it and all moneys repaid in respect of loans made from that sum and all interest received in respect of any such loan—

            (a)         for the purpose of making loans or gifts to members of the Public Service of the State who are in financial difficulties; and

            (b)         for any other purpose (either in addition to or in substitution for that mentioned in paragraph (a)) approved by the Treasurer and by a majority of the members of the Association voting at a ballot duly conducted in the manner prescribed by the rules of the Association: Provided that if that other purpose is a charitable purpose the approval of the Treasurer shall not be required.
