South Australian Consolidated Acts (1) The Governor may
make such regulations as may be necessary or convenient for carrying into
effect the provisions and objects of this Act, and without limiting the
generality of the foregoing, may make regulations—
(a)
providing for and prescribing the fees and charges payable for or in respect
of the doing of any act or thing under this Act, including fees and charges
for searching, whether electronically or in any other manner, the
Register Book or any document deposited or registered or information recorded
under this Act or pursuant to any other Act, and for obtaining copies of any
material so searched; and
(b)
providing for and prescribing the charges recoverable by solicitors and
registered conveyancers for transacting business under the provisions of this
Act.
(1a) Fees or charges
prescribed under subsection (1) for registering a transfer of land may be
based on the consideration for the transfer, the value of the land transferred
or any other basis whether or not the fee or charge exceeds the administrative
cost of registering the transfer.
(2) Without limiting
the generality of subsection (1) of this section a regulation made under
this Act may amend or revoke any regulation made under the Fees Regulation
Act 1927 .
