South Australian Consolidated Acts12—Membership of the Tribunal
(1) Members of the
Tribunal are appointed by the Governor.
(2) A member of the
Tribunal is appointed for a term (not exceeding five years) specified in the
instrument of appointment and, at the end of a term of appointment, is
eligible for reappointment.
(3) A member of the
Tribunal is appointed on conditions specified in the instrument of
appointment.
(4) The office of
member of the Tribunal may be held in conjunction with an office or position
in the public service of the State.
(5) The Governor may
remove a member of the Tribunal from office for—
(a)
breach of, or non-compliance with, a condition of appointment; or
(b)
misconduct; or
(c)
failure or incapacity to carry out official duties satisfactorily.
(6) The office of a
member of the Tribunal becomes vacant if the member—
(a)
dies; or
(b)
completes a term of office and is not reappointed; or
(c)
resigns by written notice to the Minister; or
(d) is
convicted of an offence punishable by imprisonment; or
(e) is
removed from office under subsection (5).
