South Australian Consolidated Acts9—Terms and conditions of office
(1) An
appointed member of the Board will be appointed on terms and conditions
determined by the Governor for a term, not exceeding 3 years, specified
in the instrument of appointment and is, on the expiration of a term of
office, eligible for reappointment.
(2) The Governor may
remove an appointed member of the Board from office for—
(a) a
breach of, or non-compliance with, the conditions of appointment; or
(b)
mental or physical incapacity to carry out office duties satisfactorily; or
(c)
neglect of duty; or
(d)
dishonourable conduct.
(3) The office of an
appointed member of the Board becomes vacant if the member—
(a)
dies; or
(b)
completes a term of office and is not reappointed; or
(c)
resigns by written notice to the Minister; or
(d) is
removed from office by the Governor pursuant to subsection (2).
(4) On the office of a
member of the Board becoming vacant, a person must be appointed in accordance
with this Act to the vacant office.
