South Australian Consolidated Acts40—Requirement to leave college premises
(1) A person who is on
the premises of a college without lawful authority must leave the college
premises if lawfully requested to do so.
Penalty: Division 9 fine.
(2) A request to leave
the premises of a college is lawful—
(a) if
made by—
(i)
an officer or employee appointed under this Act or
employed in the Department; or
(ii)
a member of the council of the college; or
(iii)
a person engaged by the Minister for the protection of
property of the college; or
(iv)
any person, or person of a class, authorised by the
Chief Executive Officer to make such requests; and
(b) if
the person making the request advises the person of whom the request is made
that he or she is authorised under this Act to make such a request.
(3) In any proceedings
for an offence against this Act, an apparently genuine document purporting to
be under the hand of the Chief Executive Officer and to certify that a
specified person was at a specified time authorised by or under this section
to request persons to leave college premises must be accepted as proof of the
matters so certified in the absence of proof to the contrary.
