South Australia Air Transport (Route Licensing--Passenger Services) Regulations 2002 under the Air Transport (Route Licensing--Passenger Services) Act 2002 Contents 1 Short title 2 Commencement 3 Interpretation 4 Service of notice on person operating a scheduled air service 5 Notice of requirements etc for applicants for route service licence Legislative history 1--Short title These regulations may be cited as the Air Transport (Route Licensing--Passenger Services) Regulations 2002. 2--Commencement These regulations will come into operation on the day on which the Air Transport (Route Licensing--Passenger Services) Act 2002 comes into operation. 3--Interpretation In these regulations, unless the contrary intention appears-- Act means the Air Transport (Route Licensing--Passenger Services) Act 2002. 4--Service of notice on person operating a scheduled air service (1) For the purposes of section 5(11)(f) of the Act, a notice may be served-- (a) on the person personally; or (b) by leaving it for the person at his or her place of residence or business with someone apparently over the age of 16 years; or (c) by posting it to the person at his or her last known address; or (d) by transmitting it by facsimile transmission or electronic mail to the person's facsimile number or electronic mail address (in which case the notice will be taken to have been served at the time of transmission). (2) Without limiting the effect of subregulation (1), if the person is a company or registered body within the meaning of the Corporations Act 2001 of the Commonwealth, a notice may be served on the person in accordance with that Act. 5--Notice of requirements etc for applicants for route service licence For the purposes of section 7(5) of the Act, notice of any requirement, standard, criteria, qualification or condition specified by the Minister to be met by an applicant for a route service licence must be published-- (a) by notice in the Gazette; and (b) by notice in a newspaper circulating generally throughout the State; and (c) by notice in a newspaper circulating generally throughout Australia.
