   Legislative history

   1--Short title

   These regulations may be cited as the Dog Fence Regulations 1997.

   2--Commencement

   These regulations will come into operation on the day on which they are
   made.

   3--Interpretation

   In these regulations, unless the contrary intention appears--

   the Act means the Dog Fence Act 1946.

   4--Prescribed rate

   The amount per kilometre for the purposes of the definition of
   prescribed rate in section 28(9) of the Act is $5.50.
