South Australia Genetically Modified Crops Management Regulations 2008 under section 5 of the Genetically Modified Crops Management Act 2004 Contents 1 Short title 2 Commencement 3 Interpretation 4 Designation of area in which cultivation of genetically modified food crops is prohibited Schedule 1--Revocation of Genetically Modified Crops Management (Designation of Areas) Regulations 2004 Legislative history 1--Short title These regulations may be cited as the Genetically Modified Crops Management Regulations 2008. 2--Commencement These regulations will come into operation on 28 April 2008. 3--Interpretation In these regulations-- Act means the Genetically Modified Crops Management Act 2004. 4--Designation of area in which cultivation of genetically modified food crops is prohibited Pursuant to section 5(1)(a)(ii) of the Act, the whole of the State is designated as an area in which no genetically modified food crops may be cultivated. Schedule 1--Revocation of Genetically Modified Crops Management (Designation of Areas) Regulations 2004 The Genetically Modified Crops Management (Designation of Areas) Regulations 2004 are revoked.
