South Australian Consolidated RegulationsIt is a defence to a charge of an offence under these regulations if the
defendant proves that the alleged offence—
(a) was
due to a reasonable mistake; or
(b) was
due to reasonable reliance on information supplied by another person; or
(c)
that—
(i)
the alleged offence was due to the act or default of
another person, to an accident or to some other cause beyond the control of
the defendant; and
(ii)
the defendant took reasonable precautions and exercised
due diligence to avoid the contravention.
