A natural gas system installed in a motor vehicle, and the vehicle, must
comply with all relevant requirements set out in the version of Australian/New
Zealand Standard AS/NZS 2739 current at the time of installation of the
system in the vehicle.
Examples—
Forms of natural gas include CNG (Compressed Natural Gas) and LNG (Liquid
Natural Gas).
Note—
This Part requires certain heavy vehicles built after 1987, but before July
1991, to have a restricted top speed. However, emergency vehicles and certain
2-axle prime movers owned by farmers and used in primary production are
exempt.
