(1) Compliance with
these regulations, or with any requirement imposed under these regulations, is
not in itself a defence in any proceedings for an offence against
occupational health and safety legislation.
(2) Evidence of a
relevant contravention of these regulations is admissible in any proceedings
for an offence against the occupational health and safety legislation.
