MEAT HYGIENE ACT 1994 - SECT 39

39—False or misleading statements

A person must not make a statement that is false or misleading in a material particular (whether by reason of the inclusion or omission of any particular) in any information provided, or record kept, under this Act.

Penalty:

            (a)         if the person made the statement knowing that it was false or misleading—division 5 fine or division 5 imprisonment;

            (b)         in any other case—division 6 fine.
