123BD—Loan and grant for various purposes
(1) Subject to this
section, the Treasurer may pay to the trust from time to time a sum or sums
not exceeding in total nine hundred thousand dollars towards the cost of the
rehabilitation of the irrigation works of the trust, the provision of
additional drainage within the district and the provision of a reticulated
water supply all in accordance with plans approved of by the Minister.
(2) Subject to this
section, the Treasurer may pay to the trust such amounts not exceeding in
total the sum of nine hundred thousand dollars by way of loan, as shall be
required by the trust, towards the costs of the rehabilitation of the
irrigation works of the trust, the provision of additional drainage within the
district and the provision of a reticulated water supply all in accordance
with the plans approved of by the Minister.
(3) The amount paid to
the trust by way of loan pursuant to subsection (2) of this section shall
be repaid with interest at the rate of ten per centum per annum computed from
the thirtieth day of June, 1981, by forty equal annual payments to be made on
the first day of July in each year commencing on and including the first day
of July, 1982.
(4) This section,
without further appropriation, shall be sufficient authority for making any
payment mentioned in subsection (1) or (2) of this section.
