65—Power of trust to expend moneys for certain purposes
(1) The trust may,
with the consent in writing of the Minister (who is hereby authorised to give
such consent), expend any moneys of the trust derived from the general revenue
of the trust for all or any of the following purposes, namely:
(a) the
protection of any land within the district or of any irrigation works of the
trust from inundation or damage by flood by the construction of embankments or
the carrying out of any other works approved in writing by the Minister; and
the maintenance and repair of any such embankments or works;
(b) any
other purpose for the general benefit of the district which is approved in
writing by the Minister.
