For the purposes of section 34(1) of the Act, a person who has successfully
completed a course of training for fire prevention officers provided or
arranged by the Board under section 10(2) of the Act, or a comparable course
approved or recognised by the Board, is suitably qualified to be appointed by
a council as a fire prevention officer.
