80—Provision of access for people with disabilities—alterations of
a prescribed kind
For the purposes of section 53A(2) of the Act the following alterations to a
building erected or constructed before 1 January 1980 are alterations of a
prescribed kind:
(a) any
alteration of a structural nature to a principal or other entrance to the
building; or
(b) the
construction of, or any building work incidental to the construction of, or
any alteration of a structural nature to, a public foyer, entrance hall, lift
lobby or toilet; or
(c)
where the floor is not more than 190 millimetres above or below the adjacent
finished ground level at the point of entrance to the building—the
installation of a replacement shopfront.
