Tasmanian Numbered Acts49. Cooperative may authorise person to execute deed
(1) A cooperative may, by writing under its common seal, empower a person, either generally or in respect of a specified matter or specified matters, as its agent or attorney to execute deeds on its behalf.
(2) A deed signed by such an agent or attorney on behalf of the cooperative and under the seal of the agent or attorney, or under the appropriate official seal of the cooperative, binds the cooperative and has effect as if it were under the common seal of the cooperative.
(3) The authority of such an agent
or attorney, as between the cooperative and a person dealing with the agent or
attorney, continues during the period, if any, mentioned in the instrument
conferring the authority or, if no period is so mentioned, until notice of the
revocation or termination of the authority of the agent or attorney has been
given to the person dealing with the agent or attorney.
