COOPERATIVES ACT 1999 (NO. 85 OF 1999) - SECT 8

8. Corporations Law adopted by this Act or the regulations

      (1) The regulations may adopt, with or without specified modifications, a provision of the Corporations Law for application in relation to cooperatives.

      (2) Any provision of this Act or any regulation which adopts provisions of the Corporations Law for application in relation to cooperatives operates to apply those provisions as part of this Act and the adopted provisions are to be read as forming part of this Act.

      (3) If a provision of the Corporations Law is adopted by any provision of this Act or the regulations, neither the adopted provision nor the adopting provision gives power to the Australian Securities and Investments Commission to administer the adopted provision for this Act.
