COOPERATIVES ACT 1999 (NO. 85 OF 1999) - SCHEDULE 7

SCHEDULE 7 - Consequential Amendments

(a) by omitting from subsection (2) " Co-operative Industrial Societies Act 1928 " and substituting " Cooperatives Act 1999 " ;

(b) by omitting from subsection (3) " Co-operative Industrial Societies Act 1928 " and substituting " Cooperatives Act 1999 " .

2.  Section 17 is amended as follows:

(a) by omitting subparagraph (v) from subsection (1)(a) and substituting the following subparagraph:

(v) a cooperative is registered under the Cooperatives Act 1999  –

(b) by omitting paragraph (f) from subsection (6) and substituting the following paragraph:

(f) a cooperative is registered under the Cooperatives Act 1999  –

1.  Section 9A(1) is amended by omitting the definition of "co-operative housing land" and substituting the following definition:

"cooperative housing land" means land owned by a cooperative within the meaning of the Cooperatives Act 1999 ;

1.  Section 2(1) is amended by omitting paragraph (b) and substituting the following paragraph:

(b) a cooperative within the meaning of the Cooperatives Act 1999 ; or
