Tasmanian Numbered Acts22. Supplementary provisions relating to Commissioner
(1) The Commissioner is an employee for the purposes of the Retirement Benefits Act 1993 and the Long Service Leave (State Employees) Act 1994 .
(2) If an employee, within the meaning of the State Service Act 2000 , is appointed to the office of Commissioner, that employee is entitled to retain all the employee's existing and accruing rights as if the employee's service in that office were a continuation of his or her service as an employee within the meaning of that Act.
(3) Where a person
ceases to hold the office of Commissioner and becomes a State Service officer
or State Service employee, that person's service in that office is to be
regarded as service in the State Service for the purpose of determining his or
her rights as an employee, within the meaning of that Act.
