(1) Subject to any agreement between a gas retailer and a customer, a gas distributor is responsible for providing, and maintaining in good condition, a meter to measure the gas consumption of a customer who is –
(a) connected to the distributor's distribution system; and
(b) supplied gas under a tariff.
(2) Gas consumption is to be measured on the
basis of the applicable tariff and in accordance with any relevant code.
