COOPERATIVES REGULATIONS 2000 (S.R. 2000, NO. 36) - NOTES

I, the Governor in and over the State of Tasmania and its Dependencies in the Commonwealth of Australia, acting with the advice of the Executive Council, make the following regulations under the Cooperatives Act 1999.

These regulations are administered in the Department of Justice and Industrial Relations.

EXPLANATORY NOTE

(This note is not part of the regulation)

(a) the maximum fine that may be fixed by the rules of a cooperative; and

(b) active membership provisions of the rules of a cooperative; and

(c) postal ballots conducted by cooperatives; and

(d) management and administration of cooperatives; and

(e) funds and property of a cooperative; and

(f) restrictions on the acquisition of interests in cooperatives; and

(g) merger, transfer of engagements and winding up of cooperatives; and

(h) arrangements and reconstructions of cooperatives; and

(i) foreign cooperatives; and

(j) supervision and protection of cooperatives; and

(k) fees payable under the Cooperatives Act 1999.
