J. E. COX Governor By His Excellency's Command, JUDY JACKSON Minister for Justice and Industrial Relations 1. Short title These regulations may be cited as the Electoral Regulations 2005. 2. Commencement These regulations commence on the day fixed under section 2 of the Electoral Act 2004. 3. Interpretation (1) In these regulations, unless the contrary intention appears "the Act" means the Electoral Act 2004. (2) In these regulations, a reference to a form, quoted by a numeral, is to be construed as a reference to such of the forms in Schedule 1 as is indicated by the context. 4. Contents of writ for election For the purposes of section 67 of the Act (a) a writ for the holding of an Assembly election is to be in accordance with Form 1 ; and (b) a writ for the holding of a Council election is to be in accordance with Form 2 . 5. Declaration by candidate For the purposes of section 78 of the Act, the declaration referred to in section 77(2)(e), (3)(f), (4)(e) or (5)(f) of the Act is to be (a) in the case of an Assembly nomination, in accordance with Form 3 ; and (b) in the case of a Council nomination, in accordance with Form 4 . 6. Printing order for subsequent batches of ballot papers For the purposes of clause 4 of Schedule 3 to the Act, the printing order for subsequent batches of ballot papers is to be as specified in Schedule 2 .
