FISHERIES (SCALEFISH) AMENDMENT RULES 2007 (S.R. 2007, NO. 1) - NOTES

I make the following rules under the Living Marine Resources Management Act 1995.

Notified in the Gazette on 24 January 2007.

These rules are administered in the Department of Primary Industries and Water.

EXPLANATORY NOTE

(This note is not part of the rule)

(a) extending, from 3 months to 12 months, the time allowed for the renewal of certain commercial fishing licences; and

(b) prohibiting the use of landing nets by commercial licence holders as a primary means of taking scalefish.
