FISHERIES (SCALEFISH) RULES 1998 (S.R. 1998, NO. 63) - REG 11

11. Fishing licence (wrasse)

      (1) A person must not sell live wrasse unless the person is the holder of a fishing licence (wrasse).

Penalty:

Fine not exceeding the applicable Grade 2 penalty.

      (2) Subrule (1) does not apply to wrasse possessed for sale by the holder of a receipt relating to the purchase of the wrasse.

      (3) The holder of a fishing licence (personal) must not, in State waters, have possession of live or dead wrasse of a total weight exceeding 30 kilograms unless the person –

(a) is the holder of a fishing licence (wrasse); or

(b) is the holder of a fishing licence (rock lobster) using wrasse as bait.

Penalty:

Fine not exceeding the applicable Grade 2 penalty.

      (4) The holder of a fishing licence (personal) must not take wrasse of a total weight exceeding 30 kilograms in one day unless the person is the holder of a –

(a) fishing licence (wrasse); or

(b) fishing licence (rock lobster) using wrasse as bait.

Penalty:

Fine not exceeding the applicable Grade 2 penalty.
