GAS (SAFETY) REGULATIONS 2002 (S.R. 2002, NO. 78) - REG 49

49. Owner of Type B appliance to keep records

      (1) While a Type B appliance is operable, its owner must make and keep records of any relevant tests, maintenance, inspection, commissioning or alteration of the appliance.

Penalty:

Level 2.

      (2) An owner must ensure that the relevant records are –

(a) kept for the life of the appliance; or

(b) transferred to any person acquiring the appliance from the owner, unless the appliance is being sold as scrap or spare parts.

Penalty:

Level 2.

      (3) On the sale or transfer of a Type B appliance, the owner must deliver copies of all records kept in respect of the appliance to the new owner who must keep those records in accordance with this regulation.

Penalty:

Level 2.
