Effect of judicial or official notice
81. Effect of judicial or official notice
If a court or person acting judicially takes judicial or official notice,
under section 80, of a seal or signature attached or appended to a document,
the court or person must presume-
(a) that the seal or signature was properly attached or appended at the
time and place (if any) purporting to be the time and place at which
it was so attached or appended; and
(b) that there was jurisdiction or authority to sign or seal the document
at that time and place; and
(c) that the document is what, on its construction, it purports to be; and
(d) that the document is a valid and subsisting document.
