169. Partial surrender of authority
(1) The holder of an authority may apply to the Minister for the Minister's
consent to the surrender of part of the area to which the authority applies.
(2) The Minister must not give his or her consent to the surrender of the part
of the area unless he or she is satisfied that the holder of the authority has
complied with all of the requirements listed in section 168(2) in respect of
the part of the area.
(3) The Minister may make the giving of his or her consent conditional on the
holder of the authority agreeing to the variation of the conditions that apply
to the area that will be retained under the authority.
(4) Sections 168(3) and 168(4) also apply to applications for consent under
this section.
