199. Notice to be given before operation carried out on any land
(1) A person must not carry out any greenhouse gas sequestration operation on
any land unless the person gives the owner, occupier or person or body
responsible for the management of the land a written notice outlining the
proposed operation at least 21 days before the activity starts.
Penalty: 120 penalty units.
(2) The owner, occupier or person or body may waive all or part of the 21-day
notice period.
(3) In the case of unrestricted Crown land, the notice required by this
section must be given to the Minister responsible for controlling or managing
the land.
