Renewal of permit (1) The Minister may renew an exploration permit for a further 5 years from the date of its expiry. (2) A renewed exploration permit expires on the tenth anniversary of the day on which the initial permit was registered in the greenhouse gas sequestration register, unless it is otherwise cancelled or surrendered or unless this Act otherwise provides. (3) The Minister may only renew an exploration permit once.
