Exemptions for emergency

96. Exemptions for emergency



(1) If there is an emergency resulting in a substantial disruption or
disturbance within a prison, the Secretary may by instrument-

   (a)  grant an exemption from any provision of these Regulations; and

   (b)  impose conditions subject to which the exemption is granted; and

   (c)  vary or revoke the exemption.

(2) An exemption under this regulation is restricted to the emergency
resulting in a substantial disruption or disturbance within a prison.
