MAGISTRATES' COURT (JUDICIAL REGISTRARS) AMENDMENT RULES 2020 (SR NO 39 OF 2020) - REG 4

In Rule 8(a) of the Magistrates' Court (Judicial Registrars) Rules 2015 ^[1] —

        (a)     in subparagraph (i), before "a proceeding" insert "subject to subparagraph (ia),";

        (b)     after paragraph (a)(i) insert —

    "(ia)     a proceeding for a cause of action for damages arising from a motor vehicle collision, other than a claim under a contract of insurance relating to the motor vehicle collision, if the amount claimed, or value of relief sought, is less than $20 000;";

        (c)     in subparagraph (ii)(A), for "subparagraph (i)" substitute "subparagraph (i) or (ia)".
