490. Companies (Co-operative) Act 1943 repealed

The Companies (Co-operative) Act 1943 is repealed.

491. Co-operative and Provident Societies Act 1903 repealed

The Co-operative and Provident Societies Act 1903 is repealed.

Part 20 — Consequential amendments

Division 1 — Consequential amendments commencing on registration of Co-operative Bulk Handling Limited

505. Grain Marketing Act 2002 amended

(1) This section amends the Grain Marketing Act 2002.

(2) In section 48(2)(b) delete subparagraph (ii) and insert:


(ii) Co-operative Bulk Handling Limited, a co-operative registered under the Co-operatives Act 2009,


(3) In Schedule 1 clause 5(3) in the definition of CBH delete the passage that begins with “a company” and ends with “1943.” and insert:


a co-operative registered under the Co-operatives Act 2009.


506. Local Government Act 1995 amended

(1) This section amends the Local Government Act 1995.

(2) In section 6.26(2)(i) delete “company” (each occurrence) and insert:

Division 3 — Consequential amendments commencing on repeal of former Acts

512. Civil Judgments Enforcement Act 2004 amended

(1) This section amends the Civil Judgments Enforcement Act 2004.

(2) In section 45 in paragraph (c) of the definition of financial institution delete “a society registered or deemed to be registered under the Co-operative and Provident Societies Act 1903, or”.

513. Criminal Property Confiscation Act 2000 amended

(1) This section amends the Criminal Property Confiscation Act 2000.

(2) In the Glossary in paragraph (e) of the definition of financial institution delete “a registered society within the meaning of the Co-operative and Provident Societies Act 1903, or”.

514. Equal Opportunity Act 1984 amended

(1) This section amends the Equal Opportunity Act 1984.

(2) In section 35N(1)(a) delete “of a society registered under the Co-operative and Provident Societies Act 1903 or”.

(3) In section 66ZS(1)(a)(i) delete “of a society registered under the Co-operative and Provident Societies Act 1903 or”.

(4) In section 69(1)(b)(i) delete “of a society registered under the Co-operative and Provident Societies Act 1903 or”.

515. Housing Loan Guarantee Act 1957 amended

(1) This section amends the Housing Loan Guarantee Act 1957.

(2) In section 5(1)(a) delete “or Co-operative and Provident Societies Act 1903”.

(3) In section 10 delete “or Co-operative and Provident Societies Act 1903”.

516. Local Government Act 1995 amended

(1) This section amends the Local Government Act 1995.

(2) In section 5.74 in the definition of corporation:

(a) delete paragraph (d) and “or” after it;

(b) after each of paragraphs (a) and (b) insert:

517. Taxi Act 1994 amended

(1) This section amends the Taxi Act 1994.

(2) In section 3(3)(b) delete “a company within the meaning of the Companies (Co-operative) Act 1943, and”.

518. Western Australian Treasury Corporation Act 1986 amended

(1) This section amends the Western Australian Treasury Corporation Act 1986.

(2) In Schedule 1 delete items 5 and 6.
