Western Australian Consolidated Acts (1) The CEO may deal
with unbranded cattle appearing to be over the age of 12 months found
depasturing within the pastoral region on any land to which this Part applies
as if they were the absolute property of the Crown and the exercise of such
rights of property by the Crown shall not be called into question.
(2) The CEO shall not
deal with any cattle under subsection (1) without giving such opportunity
as he considers reasonable in the circumstances to a relevant person to take
possession of any cattle that person believes have strayed from adjoining
lands onto land to which this Part applies.
(3) In
subsection (1) pastoral region means land other than
land in —
(a) the
South-West division of the State as described in Schedule 1 to the
Land Administration Act 1997 ; and
(b) the
local government districts of Esperance and Ravensthorpe.
