Western Australian Consolidated Acts Western Australian Consolidated Acts The Governor may make,
alter or repeal by-laws in accordance with and for the purposes of,
clause 7 of the Agreement, and the by-laws —
(a)
shall be published in the Gazette ;
(b)
shall take effect and have the force of law from the date they are so
published, or from a later date fixed by the order making the by-laws;
(c) may
prescribe penalties not exceeding $100 for a breach of any of the by-laws;
(d) are
not subject to section 36 of the Interpretation Act 1918 2 ,
but shall be laid before each House of Parliament within 6 sitting days
of such House next following the publication of the by-laws in the Gazette .
