Western Australian Consolidated Acts No election shall
be void in consequence solely of any delay in holding the election at the time
appointed, or in taking the poll, or in the return of the writ, or in
consequence of any impediment of a merely formal nature; and the Governor may
adopt such measures as may be necessary for removing any obstacle of a merely
formal nature by which the due course of any election might be impeded:
Provided that the
validity of the election and the measures so taken shall be forthwith declared
by the Governor by proclamation.
