ELECTORAL ACT 1907 - SECT 155

155 .         Election papers to be destroyed

        (1)         Subject to subsection (2), all books, documents, and papers used for or in connection with any election may, when the election can be no longer questioned, be destroyed by the Electoral Commissioner, or with his approval, by any returning officer.

        (2)         Subsection (1) does not apply to books, documents or papers used for or in connection with a full election in a region that may be required for the purposes of the election of members of the Council under sections 156C and 156D.
