Western Australian Consolidated Acts (1) If a court
convicts a person of any offence against this Act, the court may order the
offender to pay an additional penalty of an amount not exceeding the
court’s estimation of the amount of any monetary benefits acquired by
the offender, or accrued or accruing to the offender, as a result of the
commission of the offence.
(2) In this section
—
monetary benefits means monetary, financial or
economic benefits acquired by the avoidance of charges, fees or other costs
which would have been incurred by the offender if the offender had not
committed the offence.
